Tomorrow I am flying across the Atlantic Ocean to the Netherlands. To meet people in person, who have become very important in my life, for the first time. And to play songs for (hopefully) enthusiastic audiences.
According to Spotify, there are roughly 10 times as many people in the Netherlands listening to my music regularly as in the US. I think some of that has to do with the difference between self-promotion, and promotion from someone else, who really believes in the music.
I am beyond grateful to have connected with someone who believes in what I do. I am worried about living up to their expectations.
But I am so excited to do this. It feels like the closest I've been to who I believe I truly am in a very long time.
I will post pictures and stories in this blog. Thank you to those who read it.
If I may ask a favor, if you like the songs, share them with someone. Not just in a social media post, but actually tell a person about it. It is tough to get people to give something new a chance. But real word of mouth makes a difference.
